Each bathroom is different but to provide a general price point for homeowners that are considering a bathroom remodel the following guidelines can apply:

    • Small Bathroom (50-75 SF)- $20 -$25K
      • Typically includes a fiberglass or onyx shower and a small vanity
    • Medium Bathroom (75 – 100SF)- $25 – $35K
      • Typically includes a tiled shower, tiled floor, and double vanity
    • Large Bathroom (100-125 SF) – $35 – $55K
      • Typically includes a tiled shower, freestanding tub and double vanity

This depends greatly on the size of the bathroom and scope of work but small to medium bathrooms are typically 3 – 4 weeks and large bathrooms are typically 4-6 weeks

Yes, permits are almost always going to be required for a bathroom remodel. Every bathroom remodel will typically involve exposing/moving plumbing and this makes a permit required

Our designers can help create a space that fits your specific needs but in general these are good considerations:

    • Do you want a low maintenance or high maintenance shower. Tile showers and floors require regular cleaning and are extremely beautiful. Lower maintenance options such as Onyx and fiberglass showers require less upkeep but are less customizable and less visually striking.
    • Do you want heated floors?
    • Do you want to stay in the house for a long time? Consider low entry showers and tubs.

Bathroom flooring options include ceramic or porcelain tiles, vinyl, and waterproof laminate. We’ll recommend materials that are both practical and stylish.

Linen cabinets, taller vanities, and toilet topper cabinets are great ways to maximize dry storage. Recessed niches, benches, and shelves are ways to increase storage in the shower itself.

Our team will provide an exhaust fan for your bathroom based on the size of the space. The general rule of thumb is to select a fan that can exhaust 1 CFM per square foot of bathroom. For example: for a bathroom that is 85 square ft in floor space we would select an exhaust fan that has 110 CFM capability. (110 CFM is the closest standard air movement specification).

Yes. It is easier and less expensive to convert a bathtub to a shower than it is the opposite but both can be done. The main hang up with converting a shower to a tub is that almost all tubs come in a standard width of 60” wide. If the space is less than 60” wide a custom tub can be ordered or reconfiguration of the space can usually be performed.

We recommend all plywood construction vanities for bathrooms. Plywood holds up better than particle board to the inherent moisture present in a bathroom. Granite and quartz are the best options for countertops with quartz being the more durable of the two. These countertops are very hard and resist the wear and tear present in every bathroom
